Neath and Port Talbot
Along the Beacons’ southern rim you will find ‘Waterfall Country’, a craggy landscape of wooded gorges and cascading rivers. Forest parks, meandering rivers, and peaceful canals abound in this greenest of places. The 850 acre Margam Park, containing the coarse and game Fishpond and Furze Mill fishing venues, is a famous visitor attraction in this area. The Afan Forest Park and Gnoll Country Park in the outskirts of Neath town are also popular destinations. Fishing can be found in locations near the striking Port Talbot docks, along the Dulais and Afan rivers and of course on the River Neath through the Vale of Neath. The Tawe also passes through on its way to Swansea Bay
